Annual Charter Celebration & Fundraising Luncheon

This cherished tradition is now combined with a fundraising luncheon held each fall in November, showing continuing appreciation and respect for those early pioneers while supporting the Post's mission.
Cemetery Cleanup & Flag-Laying Ceremony — Rose Hill Cemetery
Recurring EventPost 114 members honor our fallen soldiers with cemetery cleanup and flag-laying ceremonies at Rose Hill Cemetery in Manassas. Founded in 1887 as a burial ground for Black residents, Rose Hill is the final resting place of many African American veterans whose service and sacrifice have gone unrecognized for decades. Post 114 is proud to lead efforts to clean the grounds, place American flags at veterans' gravesites, and ensure these heroes are remembered with the dignity they deserve.
Memorial Day Poppy Campaign

Boys State Sponsorship
Recurring EventPost 114 sponsors two to three young men each year to attend the American Legion Boys State program — one of the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students.
Oratorical Contest
Recurring EventThe American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program — "A Constitutional Speech Contest" — helps students develop leadership qualities and a deeper appreciation for the U.S. Constitution.
